Reverend Derek Campbell - Pastor

Rev. Derek Campbell joined Union Presbyterian Church as their pastor in the summer of 2014.  He is a graduate of Grove City College and has an M.Div. from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

Before coming to Union, Derek served as pastor to the Brockway Presbyterian Church.  He has also worked extensively with college and Christian camping ministries.  His genuine love of God, God’s word, and God’s people spurred Derek on to pursue the calling of Minister of Word and Sacrament. From visitation and caring for those in crisis, to preparing and delivering sermons and working with the youth, God has confirmed this calling all the more to proclaim the gospel and reflect His grace to the world.  Even stronger is Derek’s calling as a husband to wife Elizabeth and as a father to their three precious children, Elise (age 10), Noah (age 9), and Zoe (age 7). The privilege and responsibility of fathering three children has deepened Derek’s passion to reach their generation for Christ.  Derek has recently published his first book, co-authored with his father, Rev. Dr. George Campbell, Expository Preaching: Development and Delivery of Biblical Sermons in conjunction with Harvest Bridge International for their pastor training conference, held regularly in Chennai, India.
